This song was originally conceived as a singing telegram for a barbershop quartet with my son, but he refuses to take any responsibility whatever. 🙂 It turned into a fun, jazzy, bluesy, confection with my buddy Tripp Sprague on the sax (and one of the co-producers of the album). The arrangement suggested by Daniel Nahmod (other co-producer) was so wildly different than how I imagined it that I almost tossed it off the track list. Do you ever have the experience of being so fixed in your idea of something that you can’t see how a different point of view could be better? Yeah, it was like that. l had to “Hang Up the Phone” on the old arrangement to get to this piece of fun.

LYRICS
I love you, you love me
That’s the way it’s supposed to be
When you forget what you’re about
I will help you break back out
You’re so great, life is too
But it’s better ’cause I know you
Let’s join forces, live as one
Our love makes the world more fun
Our love makes the world more fun
Our love makes the world more fun
We share our smiles generously
And we remember hugs are free
Happiness is contagious, you know
We bring it everywhere we go
Will you come out and play?
We will laugh the hours away
When love is where we come from
We will make the world more fun
We will make the world more fun
We will make the world more fun
I love you, you love me
That’s the way it’s supposed to be
Let’s join forces, live as one
Cuz together life is way more fun
Life is way, way more fun
Life is way, way more fun
Way more fun!
Way more fun!
Waa-aay more fun!
